Running 33, 34, 35, 36 or 37+ inch tyres on your L663 New defender, firstly we suggest a subframe lift (sold separately) and secondly you will need to relocate your coolers and allow more room in front of the tyres. You may choose to just do the latter only but this will restrict the size tyres you run.

If you have lifted your Defender L663 or installed bigger than factory tires you will notice your tyres are very close to the front coolers on the new defender, with this kit you can move the coolers away from your tyres as much as possible and get them in a location that is less vulnerable. A must for all new defenders running bigger tyres.

No brainer upgrade

Whether you’re fitting larger tires or not, whether you’re putting on an aftermarket bumper or not, these are still such a valuable upgrade when off-roading. They get the coolers so much higher up and out of the mud and water and whatever else. You can see the drastic positioning difference in these two photos I took while installing a new bumper. The difference is crazy. Also as a fitting note, the instructions from Saltek say that you must drain the coolant and disconnect the hoses to get the OEM plastic mounts out of the way before you install these but I will tell you that you do NOT actually need to disconnect the hose or drain the coolant. If you are willing to (carefully) cut the factory plastic mount from around the hose, it’s actually quite simple to do the swap without having to touch your coolant system. I understand the designers not wanting to be liable saying “cut this piece of plastic right next to your coolant hose” and would rather you just take it off, but if you take your time you can avoid having to bleed your coolant system at all. Just a tip.
