World First OCTA Mods Completed by New Defender Mods

The New Defender OCTA has only just hit the road—and we’ve already made history. At New Defender Mods, we’re proud to be the first in the world to successfully install and test a pair of highly anticipated upgrades on the OCTA platform: our NDM Fully Sealed Dual Snorkels and a Genuine JLR AU Spec Winch Bullbar.

Breaking Ground with the First OCTA Modifications

The OCTA is a beast right out of the box, but we saw the potential to take it further. Our first round of upgrades includes:

NDM Fully Sealed to Airbox Twin Snorkels

Genuine Land Rover AU Spec Winch Bullbar & Brushbar

12,000 lb Carbon Winch

These aren’t just add-ons—we’ve carefully adapted each component to suit the OCTA’s unique new design. Every fitting has been tested and refined for full functionality, performance, and visual appeal.

Why These Mods Matter

Fully Sealed Dual Snorkels

Engineered to connect directly to the airbox, our twin snorkel system is sealed end-to-end—giving the OCTA enhanced water-wading capability and improved airflow on dusty trails. The dual intake setup not only sounds incredible but is also visually striking, giving the OCTA a bold, symmetrical stance.

Genuine JLR AU Spec Bullbar

Sourced straight from Land Rover and built to Australian specs, this winch-compatible bullbar and brushbar combo is as tough as they come. It’s designed to integrate seamlessly with the OCTA's sensors and systems, while offering increased protection and mounting capability for future accessories.

12,000 lb Carbon Winch

When it comes to off-road recovery, reliability is everything. The Carbon 12K winch gives us the pulling power and peace of mind we need for the trails ahead.

OCTA: A Mod-Ready Platform

One of the standout features of the OCTA is its readiness for real-world upgrades. Thanks to the combination of airbag suspension and 6D hydraulic sway control, the OCTA compensates for added weight effortlessly—maintaining its factory ride quality and capability even with a fully fitted front end.

We’re just getting started with this build, but it’s already proving to be one of the most exciting New Defenders we’ve worked on. More upgrades are on the way, and we’ll be pushing the OCTA to its limits—on-road, off-road, and everywhere in between.
