This bumper is strong, aesthetic, useful, and surprisingly intuitive to install! Took me a few hours to put on but it’s very straightforward, the instructions are comprehensive and if you’re comfortable on the tools you’ll have no problem installing this bumper. One of the weakest design points in the factory Defender is the front bumper imo, you can’t get away from those low front corners and the front bash plate is just a plastic cover that will crush without much hesitation. This bumper is a must if you’re off roading a lot in my opinion. I’ve got a 12k Warn Platinum winch mounted behind it and there was no fuss with that either, it fits nice and tidy back there. I’ve used the winch many times since and the bumper handles it without so much as a creak. The Baja lights I have mounted behind the bumper and on top of it just took some slight drilling/spacing/modifying to fit, simple stuff. The bar in the front is rock solid for mounting even these heavy LP9 lights, but I will say it’s not going to “push” much out of your way if you’re used to any sort of real push bar on your rigs for rocks or big brush. It’s not a stinger bumper. So just keep that in mind. The bottom bash plate is mighty strong, I rammed a big rock underwater when crossing a river and dented it but it certainly did its job. I’m super impressed. One tip I have, if you’re getting this bumper make sure you get the Saltek front cooler tilt brackets (also sold here on NDM)!! They work extremely well with this bumper and if you don’t have them you won’t get much benefit of the approach angle because your coolers will still be sticking out from underneath and your plastic liner will be sitting back behind the bumper. Just do them both at once, the tilting brackets take 30 minutes to put on and they’re inexpensive. All and all a fantastic piece of hardware, super intuitive to install and very strong when beating on it off road. Highly recommend.
